Today is our seventh Woolly Hat Day. Thank you so much to you, our generous and wonderful supporters, who are putting their hats on and their heads together to help us end homelessness and support people to rebuild their lives.

And it’s not just people getting involved!

In Bristol, special woolly thanks to Shaun the Sheep and his flock, and Morph, who – along with the marvellous team at Aardman – are showing “ewe” how to do it!

Can we also thank Avon and Somerset Police who managed to put woolly hats on their horses and dogs to show their support.

Meanwhile, across the country, schools, companies and friends are getting involved.

Many thanks to Palmer Sixth Form College and Tti School of English who are having cake sales.

And huge thanks to Caffe Nero who are putting woolly hat symbols on the tops of coffee ordered in about 100 of their cafes today.

Can we also thank again the women of the Seymour Synchronised  Swimming Club and photographer  Robin Conway who helped us take these breathtaking pictures of woolly hats underwater.

Finally, many thanks to those who kindly donated to our bucket collections today – we very much appreciate your individual support.

We’ll update with more pictures next week. Please keep sharing #WHD17.

With the Homelessness Reduction Bill also being debated in Parliament today, and the national figures released this week showing a 16% rise in rough sleeping, it’s such an important time to take action together in support of people who are homeless or at risk.

You can support St Mungo’s by the joining the conversation on social media using #WHD17.  To donate, please text WOOL17 £5 to 70070 help end homelessness and rebuild lives.
