Keeping up the momentum in 2017

St Mungo's World Record 2016 #2

As we leave 2016 behind – a year full of ups and downs – we look back at what our clients and St Mungo’s achieved this year.

In the past 12 months, we broke a world record, joined our clients in lobbying Parliament (three times), and saw the introduction of the Homelessness Reduction Bill following months of intense campaigning.

Our clients’ experiences inform our work. It’s through their involvement – whether by taking action, sharing their stories or talking to decision makers and the media that we’re able to make an impact on homelessness policy and work towards ending homelessness and rebuilding lives.

Our clients achieved so much in 2016. Some learned to read and write, learned new skills, overcame substance use and some returned to employment. This was made possible through the kindness of our supporters.

Watch the short film below to find out what some of our clients achieved in 2016.

We hope to continue the momentum through 2017.  We’ll work with our clients to support them to recover from homelessness. By understanding their strengths and skills we can help them to rebuild their lives and fulfil their hopes and ambitions.

Whether you’re short of time, or have more time to give, there are many ways you can help to support homeless people in 2017. To find out more please visit the how you can help section of our website.
